Joan Sue is a member of The Etiquette Institute, an international organization recognizing those who enhance the Institute's mission of teaching contemporary manners to children and teenagers according to the standards of traditional etiquette and the guidelines set forth in the course of study.

Joan is also certified as an etiquette consultant in the teaching of business and social etiquette.

Through her work with orphans in Japan and as an Assistant Youth Director in Germany, coupled with professional modeling and beauty pageant activities, Joan is very much aware that the child with healthy self-esteem becomes the adult with confidence, poise and a good sense of self.

In 1975 Joan Sue was recognized as an "Outstanding Young Woman of America". This year, 2003, Joan was a nominee for the Greater Louisville Inc. Ogden Newell & Welch Inc.Credible Award. The Inc.Credible Awards honor Greater Louisville's outstanding small businesses.
